About the event
Mecca Yacht Club Commodore Noble Jay Cohen and our President of the Mecca Merry Makers Noble Taris Delgado has invited us to join with our friends in the Richmond Masonic Association in supporting the annual “God’s Exceptional Children’s Boat Ride” on Staten Island. This extraordinary event provides a free day on the water for thousands of children giving them an unforgettable experience of joy and freedom.
For more than a decade, the Marine and Aviation Anchor Club and the Richmond Masonic Association have partnered with the Staten Island Ferry to make this event possible. Past rides have hosted over 3,000 passengers for a three-hour tour of New York Harbor, with the NYPD Harbor Charlie and Aviation Unit escorting the ferry and the FDNY Marine 9 offering a dramatic water salute in front of the Statue of Liberty.
